Prince Turki bin Faisal

Prince of Saudi Arabia

Born in 1945 in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Prince Turki bin Faisal is the son of King Faisal of Saudi Arabia. He became a Royal Court Advisor in 1973. He served as the Director General of Saudi Arabia's primary intelligence agency from 1977 to 2001. Later, he was appointed as the Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland, and subsequently to the United States until his retirement in 2007.

Additionally, he is the founder and trustee of the King Faisal Foundation, Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, an international advisor for the Shanghai International Studies University, and a member of the Terrorism Research Committee at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C.
