

Aniruddha Dasgupta
President and CEO of the World Resources Institute (WRI)
Aniruddha Dasgupta, from New Delhi, India, has been the President and CEO of the World Resources Institute (WRI) since 2021.
He is highly respected for his work in sustainable cities, urban design, and poverty alleviation. Previously, he served as the Global Director of WRI’s Cities Program, leading a team of 400 experts with a project budget of $33 million, aiming to create more sustainable cities and improve quality of life while reducing inequality.
Dasgupta has also served as a World Bank Director, where he developed the World Bank's first Knowledge Strategy. His extensive work includes urban environment, disaster management, and water supply projects in Asia and Eastern Europe, including leading post-tsunami recovery efforts in Aceh, Indonesia.
