Jo Tyndall

Director of the Environment Directorate at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)

Jo Tyndall is the Director of the Environment Directorate at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). She oversees the implementation of the directorate's work program, which covers a wide range of environmental issues including green growth, climate change, biodiversity, ecosystem quality, eco-innovation, circular economy, and resource productivity.

From 2019 to 2022, Tyndall served as New Zealand's High Commissioner to Singapore (ambassadorial level). Before that, she was New Zealand’s Climate Change Ambassador in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and led the New Zealand delegation to the United Nations climate negotiations. She also co-chaired the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Paris Agreement from 2016 to December 2018.
