Juergen Voegele

Vice President for Sustainable Development at the World Bank

Dr. Juergen Voegele has been the Vice President for Sustainable Development at the World Bank since April 2020, overseeing global practices and thematic groups that help countries address the most complex sustainable development challenges.

Before this role, he was the Global Director of the World Bank's Climate Change Group and Senior Director for Agriculture and Food Global Practice. Dr. Voegele is also the chair of the CGIAR System Council and has co-chaired the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council on Food Systems since 2016.
