

Alwin Van der Linde
Chairman of the Linde Foundation in Spain
Alwin Van der Linde is the Chairman of the Linde Foundation in Spain, the Cultural Ambassador of Extremadura, Spain to China, and an International Expert Advisor to the Xi'an Municipal Government. Van der Linde is a Dutch-born artist, photographer, musician, and designer residing in Spain, renowned internationally as a distinguished artist. As the Cultural Ambassador of Extremadura, he has actively promoted cultural exchanges between Spain and China for many years, and in 2017, he was appointed as an International Expert Advisor to the Xi'an Municipal Government.
In 2001, he was invited to reconstruct the palace hall walls of the Royal Palace of Aranjuez in Spain, with King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia attending the unveiling ceremony of his paintings. His life-sized portrait of the king and queen is permanently housed at the Spanish Embassy in Washington, D.C. In 2008, he held a joint exhibition of photography and oil paintings with General Shao Hua, President of the China Photographers Association, at the China Millennium Monument. In 2010, his solo exhibition "Media Huangshan - Alwin Van der Linde Art Exhibition" was grandly opened at the Shanghai Art Museum, with then-President of the Spanish Congress Bono presiding over the opening ceremony. His recent works have been highly praised by King Felipe VI of Spain.
