Hans-Olov Olsson

Former President and CEO of Volvo Group

Hans-Olov Olsson is the former President and CEO of Volvo Group and currently chairs Volvo Group's Election Committee. He began his career at Volvo in 1966 as a systems engineer and later held positions such as assembly plant manager, head of overseas sales, Vice President of global marketing, President of the European region, and Senior Vice President of global marketing at Ford Motor Company. From 2000 to 2006, Olsson served as President and CEO of Volvo Group.

As a senior advisor to Rothschild Investment Bank, he played a key role in facilitating Geely Group's acquisition of Volvo. His extensive experience in Asia and strong relationships with Ford significantly contributed to Volvo's long-term success. Olsson has also served on the boards of companies and institutions such as Elanders Printing, SKF, Lindab International, Höganäs, and the Crown Prince of Sweden's Young Leadership Foundation, and has been the President of the Swedish Federation of Business Owners and the chairman of the board of Chalmers University of Technology.
