


Erik Solheim
Chairman of the International Green Development Coalition (IGDC) for the Belt and Road Initiative
Eric Solheim, born in 1955 and a graduate of the University of Oslo, is a renowned global leader in environmental and development issues and an experienced peace negotiator. He currently serves as the Chairman and Vice President of the International Green Development Coalition (IGDC) for the Belt and Road Initiative and the Director of the International Research Institute for Green Development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Solheim initiated a significant international campaign called "Ending Plastic Pollution," which aims to raise global awareness and encourage action to reduce plastic pollution and achieve sustainable development.
In recognition of his efforts, he received the 2023 China Friendship Award on February 4, 2024.
